For many years now HTC has been a part of the missions work in Haiti. Pastor Darrell Trout has had an infectious vision to help the Mission of Hope ministries in Haiti. He has challenged several churches in support of this phenomenal Haitian missionary organization. After going to a fund raiser in Oklahoma a few years a go he felt the Lord quicken his spirit to give a $1000 dollars a week to the Mission of Hope. As pastor Trout was about to leave the fund raiser he went back in and told one of the mission of hope leaders what the Lord laid on his heart. The leader in return said that the Lord had also prompted him to believe someone would come and pledge a $1000.
Over the last few years HTC has given financial aid and sent several groups to assist the Mission of Hope. This year the plan is to send the $1,000 every week as promised a few years ago. The recent earthquake has caused the whole world to turn their eyes to Haiti and the struggles there. The needs have been enormous for many years. Now we believe this is a timely opportunity as preparations have been made for months to begin this project.
