Access Granted
Upgrade Security
Part II

(Take a quick look at where we left off two weeks ago. We will take a deeper look starting at the 3 reasons for “Daily Upgrades” or simply spiritually growing in Christ)

Knowing God by seeking His face…2 Chron. 7:14. Believers must become secured for daily use. Not knowing what a day may bring should be enough motivation to be made ready. Prov. 27:1, James 4:13-17

He gives us everything we need for life and for holy living. He gives it through His great power. As we come to know Him better, we learn that He called us to share His own shining-greatness and perfect life. Through His shining-greatness and perfect life, He has given us promises. These promises are of great worth and no amount of money can buy them. Through these promises you can have God’s own life in you now that you have gotten away from the sinful things of the world which came from wrong desires of the flesh. Do your best to add holy living to your faith. Then add to this a better understanding.  As you have a better understanding, be able to say no when you need to. Do not give up. And as you wait and do not give up, live God-like.  As you live God-like, be kind to Christian brothers and love them.  If you have all these things and keep growing in them, they will keep you from being of no use and from having no fruit when it comes to knowing our Lord Jesus Christ.  But if you do not have these things, you are blind and cannot see far. You forget God saved you from your old life of sin.  Christian brothers, make sure you are among those He has chosen and called out for His own. As long as you do these things, you will never trip and fall. In this way, the road will be made wide open for you. And you will go into the holy nation that lasts forever of our Lord Jesus Christ, the One Who saves. 2 Peter 1:3-11 NLV

  • Proverbs 4:23  Keep your heart pure for out of it are the important things of life.
  • Philippians 4:7Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
  • ·1 Timothy 6:20 O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge—

The reason to upgrade security in the technological realm is;

1.  The information environment has grown. Personal information is being shared between network sources.
2.  The more information gained the more complex it is to connect that information.
3.  To continue growth in informational capacity access points must be protected.

It is a mirror effect in the spiritual world. As in Acts 19 Paul was known among the demonic world. The more he allowed God to use him the more he was known. Luke 12:48 states that when God gives into us more is required of us. Eph. 4:14 …do not be children any longer pushed around by every new teaching, 2 Peter 3:18 grow in grace and knowledge, Phil. 1:9…let love abound more and more…, 1 Peter 2:2 …desire the pure word, to grow more and more…

Believers are compromised when they allow the enemy gain access because of immature thinking and unmotivated attitudes.

Secure all access points so the enemy does not gain a foothold. Eph. 4:27

Prayer, Praise, Worship, Studying The Word of Life and yes Repentance are all upgrades to Accessing the Blessings of God and The purpose of our lives in God!

Praise, Prayer and Worship are continual ways God secures us for daily use in this world. The enemy is working overtime to disconnect believers from each other and The Triune Presence of God. Enter daily praise. Open up the heart to daily prayer. Bow in appreciative worship to the only One who can keep the heart pure!

Rom. 8:26 -Praying in the Spirit allows the Creator to strengthen and provide in these times of uncertainty. Maturity in Christ is knowing I’m not capable on my own. I want God to intercede through me!!!

Cell phone and tablet in hand, remark that this generation is being filled to an information overload with entertainment and a social world of petty information.

Almost daily these devices, as they are network connected, acknowledge that certain apps are now updated. We act as though that is more important than renewal in Christ.

Connect to “The Source” with whole devotion and He will keep you steadfast with spiritual understanding of His continual renewal.

Stay renewed think about that statement- STAY RENEWED –those words bring to life these powerful Words of Life @Ps. 51:10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. @2 Cor. 4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. (day by day) and @every Word proceeding out of the Mouth of The Father.

There is no person alive, or who has ever lived, that can think fresh thoughts without taking in a fresh thought (Fresh “Spiritual Renewal” from The Throne of God). It is so strange that Christians want things to change without changing anything in and out of themselves.

Philippians 3:1
Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord. It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again, and it is a safeguard for you.   Phil 3:1 – hearing the same things over and again is a “Safeguard” for the daily walk!

One of our nation’s last true revivalists stated this, "Churches don't need new members half so much as they need the old bunch made over."
- Billy Sunday (Professional Baseball player and Evangelist from the late 1800’s)

Rom. 12:1-2 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
