The Great Chain Exchange

The Great Chain Exchange
Connection Empowers

He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness,
    and broke away their chains.
Ps. 107:14

For we know that our old self was
crucified with Him so that
the body ruled by sin might be done away with,
that we should no longer be slaves to sin—
Rom. 6:6

In Genesis God begins with showing an intentional plan. This plan declared that man and woman were to become “One”!  Then in Ephesians 5 the portrait of marriage illuminates a premeditated design originated by God.  Man with women being joined together as one is a representation of Christ and His Church, Bride.  This design only functions with submission and love.

The enemy attacking this “Premeditated Design” knows that all he has to do to disrupt God’s intention is to get the Church to engage in any form of detachment or separation.

  • Divorce (Divorce is disconnect) Malachi 2:16
  • Division (Division is the counter to unity) Acts 15, Rom. 16:17, 1 Cor. 10-13, 1 Cor. 3:3, etc.
  • Disturbance (Disturbance is disruption or distraction from the plan) 2 Tim. 2:24-25, James 3:16

Notice that Paul, in 1 Corinthians 14:33, uses teaching on spiritual gifts to help the Church to guard against confusion. If God is not the author of confusion then all the enemy has to do is push buttons of competition. In spiritual matters he institutes jealousy over others participating using the gifts and he succeeds in bringing about confusion in the Body of Believers.

In Scripture you consistently hear people disagreeing about who should lead them.  From Moses to Paul or King David and the Prophets sandwiched in-between the masses could not believe they were God empowered to lead them. The people would not choose them, hmmm but God did. Even in view of Christ how easy the Pharisees caused all of Jerusalem to attack and crucify.

Gal. 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

John 8:32, “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

It is psychologically simple whatever has your undivided attention has your emotion and energy. As Paul neared death he saw it but His emotion and energy were focused on Christ. “Death has no hold”, he would say, “It only brings me to my Lord whom I serve and am bound to”.

When the chains of sin were broken from his life he took on a new binding. He became bound to Christ.

Rom. 6:23 Paul declared that he was once a servant of sin, chained to it…now He is a servant of Christ, bound to Him, just like being chained to Him. These new shackles are shackles of love and acceptance. Throughout chapters 6 to 8 in Romans Paul exemplifies the Believer dying with Christ and being united to a Spiritual connection that holds, keeps, satisfies and empowers.

You will love or work for whatever you are connected to.  2 Cor. 6:14 (being unequally yoked) is a direct command that is intended to keep people from a life of frustration and division. These words are not a license to divorce. However, they are a message of direction for the child of God who is not married.

The teaching Jesus gives us in Luke 11:24-26 clearly states that if after sin and demonic hold is broken from a life there needs to be connection to the new life IN CHRIST! God is our furnishing and filling…..

Let’s look at further connection in Christ. Col. 3:14 states that in order for the peace of God to rule our hearts we must let love bind us together…

When the chains of sin are broken shattered and demolished through Christ’s Blood life takes on an amazing change. When life in Christ came I started singing “these chains are broken I’ve been set free and Bind us together Lord with Love!”

“The Great Chain Exchange” is trading the chains of sin for chains of love!!! From being bound to the world to being bound to the Church!!!
