There is no fear in love.
Perfect love puts fear out of our hearts.
People have fear when
they are afraid of being punished.
The man who is afraid does not have perfect love.
1 John 4:18

For God did not give us a spirit of fear.
He gave us a spirit of power and
of love and of a good mind.
2 Tim. 1:7

To begin there needs to be a clarification made to establish proper content of this message. Satan is the consummate deceiver. He is extremely successful at causing people to believe lies. At creation he moved the hearts of two sinless people to believe a lie. He then brought sin in the form of disobedience and selfishness. Satan infiltrates human conflict, especially when believers are at odds, he introduces grudges and revenge. He can cause a clear sighted person to accept an allusion of evil being noble. With his crafty maliciousness he can convince a wounded person to walk away from a remedy for the agony being experienced. Yet, in all this, his most devious plan is to bring people to consciously distort something that is very good into a repulsive act.

The Spirit of God began drawing me to see how Three Beautiful Words, Three Beautiful Gifts of God, are being viewed as “Scary”. I thought in that moment how is this possible? Suddenly Scriptural direction for this unreal scenario dropped into mind, Isa. 5:20, 2 Tim. 3:13.  “evil will be called good and good will be called evil…men will seduce and deceive then they will be deceived into further abandonment of the Character of God…”

The enlightenment then came, these words have become “Scary” to two groups of people;

  • Those who’ve been churched then betrayed or wounded. This group no longer believe they can or should be part of a church as it exists today.
  • The next group are relatives and friends of serious church goers. They are the ones who see the actions and hear the stories of the functions of church relationships.

Scary word # 1;

  • Grace – ok I’ve lost some of you at this point, but hear me out. Grace is that blessing God gives to remind us we have received His undeserved favor. Our two groups of people have seen this beautiful truth of God become a stumbling block. Teaching on Grace has brought division and started more arguments than countries at war. Man’s internalizing explanations of God’s Grace has even split churches. The worst act of all is that churches want Grace but seem hard pressed to show Grace.  The two groups who need it most are now polarized by the very mention of the word “Grace”.

Remember the deceiver is at work…try not to go judgmental at this time.

Scary word # 2;

  • Faith – the wounded reject thoughts of “Faith” because they have been whipped with chastising remarks about not having enough. In other words you are wounded because you are less than enough because you lack “Faith”. Intentionally or not intentionally Christians have sat on pedestals to direct the underlings that are not measuring up. Matt. 13:32 Jesus taught that when a small amount of faith is applied it turns into a large place to provide a haven of rest for the weary.

Scary word # 3;

  • Love – our two groups of people have been taken captive by hate simply because they are convinced “Love” is not real. Or, at least Love is not real enough for them to experience. Hate and death have become so normal that this generation has tattooed it on hearts and skin. Love is the most Beautiful Reality of God, “God is Love”. It stands to reason that if the deceiver would ruin a heart he would warp what a person thinks about God’s Love for them.

The absolute Truth is Grace is not “Scary”! Grace is living and beautiful!!!

Faith is not “Scary” it is powerful! Faith in Christ in its smallest form casts mountains into the sea. Matt. 17:20

Eph. 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—

Love is not “Scary”, as the deceiver would have you think, For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son. Whoever puts his trust in God’s Son will not be lost but will have life that lasts forever.

There is no fear in love…God did not give us a spirit of fear…

Receive and SHOW HIS LOVE, remember when a Believer says, “I can’t love” all that means is he’s stopped let God give him His love. In that moment the enemy moves in to deceive…

As the Church repents for allowing Grace, Faith and Love to become distorted the enemy will lose his hold on those he’s deceived.

God help us display Your Grace…walk in Faith…live out Your Holy Love!!!
