Conduct that leads to “The Cure”

Society is sick; the world around us is wounded and diseased. Selfishness is a cancer to happiness. Most of all, there is an unmerited drawing to adapt to society.

Jiddu Krishnamurti was a proclaimed Theosophical spokesman for bettering society. He said, “it is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society”. He and many other humanists speak from a warped view of humanity. His quote is very true, but like many in our world who paint a picture of humanity healing itself, at that point, another sickness is created. That sickness is some people are just better than others. Today we guard ourselves from falling into that trap.

Mankind is God created and beautiful. Mankind has turned to its own ways. Those ways are destructive at the core.  God offers Himself to bring about wholeness for those who allow His Love and Ways!!!

1 Cor. 9:19-22 “Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.”

God has given His Church His Son, His Spirit and His anointing to mend the broken hearted and set the captive free!!! With that big amen let us HEAR THE SPIRIT say three incredible God given opportunities…

# 1 Know The Word!!! (Thy Word have I Hid In My Heart)

# 2 Build Relevance in your area of living. (God relationship isn’t for just for a few)

  • In all relationships. (Friends need genuine Jesus, not I’m letting my hair down for a time for me. Do we want those who are close to know Jesus?)
  • In Marriage. (The very Picture of Christ and His Church)
  • With our children. (Never stop praying for your children!!!)
  • In the work-place. (Integrity on the job isn’t expected in this generation. The view today is those who have success should pay. Personal politics at times erodes…)

2 Cor. 12:6  If I wanted to boast, I would be no fool in doing so, because I would be telling the truth. But I won’t do it, because I don’t want anyone to give me credit beyond what they can see in my life or hear in my message…(I think sometimes we need to check what our personal message is!)

Ps. 105:4

Thank God! Pray to him by name!
Tell everyone you meet what he has done!
Sing him songs, belt out hymns,
    translate his wonders into music!
Honor his holy name with Hallelujahs,
you who seek God. Live a happy life!
Keep your eyes open for God, watch for his works;
be alert for signs of his presence.
Remember the world of wonders he has made,
his miracles, and the verdicts he’s rendered—

Show honor. Morality, decency, up-rightness, respect…

  • (Morality is showing honor toward God and fellow man)
  • Showing Honor insures seeds planted that will bring future respect. (God set in order the law of sowing and reaping. (A law He enforces to those who learn to give even when it seems they aren’t receiving!!!)

The generation that we now live among are being programmed at an alarming level to be takers. In this realm of take, take, take there is another ungodly sin set attitude, demandingness. The more a society sets itself on the “course of demand” the more it enters the arena of anger. (Divorce, robbery, racism, war, murder, mass shootings, etc.)

There is an element of truth that we often leave out of the Golden Rule of “Luke 6:31”. That element of Truth is God has a way His Church should reach out everyone.

Listen to the “The Message Bible” on this subject. “Here is a simple rule of thumb for behavior: Ask yourself what you want people to do for you; then grab the initiative and do it for them! If you only love the lovable, do you expect a pat on the back? Run-of-the-mill sinners do that. If you only help those who help you, do you expect a medal? Garden-variety sinners do that. If you only give for what you hope to get out of it, do you think that’s charity? The stingiest of pawnbrokers does that.”

This generation needs to see A People that “Know The Word of God” with an all-out work engaging in “Building Relevance” and showing “Honor” to the good, the bad and the ugly…

Gal 6:9-10 So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.
