Living out “The Understanding”

Living out “The Understanding”

In our world today there is confusion. “A wise therapist taught that anger is the emotion we snatch up to avoid less uncomfortable feelings – confusion, fear, sadness…” Confusion of purpose, confusion of sexuality (identity), confusion of boundaries (wars), confusion of governments (how should people be ruled), confusion of hunger (why), confusion of weather, confusion of wealth and the confusion of religion. In reality there are many more confusions. In fact the list of all things confusing would be so long it would bring confusion. However, today I want to tackle the confusion of religion. Living a life devoted to Jesus isn’t religion, but human beings have decided to add to the confusion by bringing personal beliefs as detractors.

Eph. 4:17-24

This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest ofthe Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. But you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

No matter how you present it Jesus has to be the Life that is “The Understanding”. All our personal reasoning and views of the confusion the world will not bring clarity.

Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God,

who loved me and gave Himself for me.

1 John 5:20

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

Luke 24 has the identity and clarity that the soul seeks. The women taking the spices to the tomb remembered His words. The two men on the road to Emmaus verse 32 “…He opened the Scriptures to us”.  In verse 45 He opened their minds to “Understand” The Scriptures. Jesus consistently said remember what I told you. He still says, “it is Me…come to Me…come know Me…Understanding is Knowing”. Understanding Jesus is knowing purpose and stills all confusion.

Believers consistently declare to a lost world that God works supernaturally. After the supernatural declaration those same Believers try to reduce the supernatural to become natural in order to make it more understandable.

What I need is this, Romans 8:35-39

Who shall separate us (remove understanding) from the love of Christ? Shall (confusion) tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (This is The Understanding)

Living The Understanding is Supernatural Light in Darkness…
