Fire on The Altar
June 10, 2018

Relying on God has to begin all over again every day as if nothing had yet been done. C. S. Lewis

Lam. 3:22, 23 “The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.” NLT

Remember this if you do not remember any other thing today, “The enemy of your soul wants to steal the freshness of your walk with Jesus”.  If your love gets old and stale your light will not be seen by those who are lost, trapped in darkness! 1 Peter 5:8, John 10:10.

This brings us once again to the text of our current journey. Zech. 2…God’s desire is to be The Wall of Fire around us and the Glory within.

Fire on The Altar
Where is The Daily Wood

Lev.6:9, 13 …the fire must be
kept burning on the altar…

Lev. 6:12 …every morning the priest is to
add the firewood…

Lev. 6:9-13 “Give Aaron and his sons the following instructions regarding the burnt offering. The burnt offering must be left on top of the altar until the next morning, and the fire on the altar must be kept burning all night.  In the morning, after the priest on duty has put on his official linen clothing and linen undergarments, he must clean out the ashes of the burnt offering and put them beside the altar. Then he must take off these garments, change back into his regular clothes, and carry the ashes outside the camp to a place that is ceremonially clean. Meanwhile, the fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must never go out. Each morning the priest will add fresh wood to the fire and arrange the burnt offering on it. He will then burn the fat of the peace offerings on it. Remember, the fire must be kept burning on the altar at all times. It must never go out.

There is a truth that is in Jesus, “If the fire has gone out He will (In an Instant) bring “The Flames” back into that life”. If that life has never had the burning love of Jesus He will bring the “Fresh Flames” of His Glory into that life!!!

Where is the wood?

  • The cry of a heart is “Wood” to the Fire! Ps. 5
  • Repentance is “Wood” for the Fire! Isa. 1:18, Acts 26:20, Rev.   3:19
  • Love is “Wood” to The Fire!
  • Faith is “Wood” to The Fire!
  • 2 Timothy 1:6 & 7 The Gift of God is ultimate fuel…

Surround yourself with passionate people. People that are passionate for God will challenge…

Prov. 13:20 A walk with the wise will bring about wisdom…a walk with fools will bring destruction…

Rom. 12:11-13 MSG
Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame.
Be alert servants of the Master,
cheerfully expectant.
Don’t quit in hard times;
pray all the harder.
Help needy Christians;
be inventive in hospitality.
