Prov. 20:7
The godly man walks with integrity;
    blessed are their children who follow them.

Dad is super when he is in God’s Mighty Hand.

Let’s begin with the two D’s of DAD.

DDetermined, In Prayer – To Protect – To Provide

There are many portraits in Scripture that convey this needed and amazing quality of “Determination”.  One such portrait is the prayer of Elijah for rain.

During the time of drought right after his prayer of Faith brings Holy Fire from Heaven’s Throne, 1 Kings 18:41 Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go get something to eat and drink, for I hear a mighty rainstorm coming!” His ear is tuned to what God does!

Dad what you are listening to will affect your “Determination”. Listen to your Faith in what God is about to do!  He is going to use you to prove His Mighty Ways!!!

Elijah has just killed 450 prophets of Baal and 400 prophets of Asherah.  Now he is stating Faith’s Fact.  God is about to end this drought.  Ahab you better go get refreshed because you are going to be starting on your journey back to Jezreel.

1 Kings 18:41- 45…Elijah climbed to the top of Mount Carmel and bowed low to the ground and prayed with his face between his knees…“Go and look out toward the sea.” The servant went and looked, then returned to Elijah and said, “I didn’t see anything.” Seven times Elijah told him to go and look. Finally the seventh time, his servant told him, “I saw a little cloud about the size of a man’s hand rising from the sea.” Then Elijah shouted, “Hurry to Ahab and tell him, ‘Climb into your chariot and go back home. If you don’t hurry, the rain will stop you!’”

…soon the sky was black with clouds. Determination will produce the mighty works of God which He has called us to live in!

D- Devoted, To God – To Family – To Church.  These acts of “Devotion” will change everything.  The Change will be real for Dad, The Family, The Church, The City, The Region, The Nation…God has not called Men to failure. Devoted DADs lead the way.

"Walk a little slower, Daddy!" said a little child so small.
"I'm following in your footsteps and i don't want to fall.

Sometimes your steps are very fast, sometimes they're hard to see;
So walk a little slower Daddy, for you are leading me.

Someday when I'm all grown up, you're what i want to be.
Then i will have a little child who'll want to follow me.

And i would want to lead just right, and know that i was true;
So, walk a little slower, Daddy, for i must follow you!!"

Now let’s look at the “A” in the middle of the Ds of DAD.

A“Action” Take a little walk with me through the “Actions” of Peter and John Acts 3.

Peter and John went to the Temple one afternoon to take part in the three o’clock prayer service. As they approached the Temple, a man lame from birth was being carried in. Each day he was put beside the Temple gate, the one called the Beautiful Gate, so he could beg from the people going into the Temple. When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for some money. Peter and John looked at him intently, and Peter said, “Look at us!” The lame man looked at them eagerly, expecting some money. But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up andwalk!” Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man’s feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened. He jumped up, stood on his feet, and began to walk! Then, walking, leaping, and praising God, he went into the Temple with them. All the people saw him walking and heard him praising God. When they realized he was the lame beggar they had seen so often at the Beautiful Gate, they were absolutely astounded!

I know it is the time for Men of God to let people see and be astonished at the “Actions” of godly Dads everywhere. Men who will Listen and act on the words of Jesus to lay hands on the sick and see them healed. Speak to the dead and bring life. Voice God’s Word to the demonic grip on homes, neighborhoods, city and Nation. Men who will declare the devilish powers cast out from the hold they have taken!!! Men whose Actions are love and Faith! Men of Action. Making the word “Dad” a feared word to the enemy of our souls.
